The newly-opened The Smokery, Cairo West (ADD Properties) serves as the canvas for a collaboration between Fayçal Bettioui of Casablanca’s Table 3 (One To Watch Award, MENA’S 50 Best Restaurants 2025) and Erwan Laurenceau of Cairo’s The Smokery. The two chefs come together to curate a delightful feast for the senses, presenting a unique blend of Moroccan and French culinary traditions shaped by their personal travels and rediscoveries of their respective native cuisines.

Expect 5-6 courses, inspired by the warm spices, layered flavors and meticulous technique. A very personal fusion of Moroccan & French cuisines.

Dinner is complemented by an EgyBev wine pairing. Guests are also welcome to bring their own preferred wines.

Fayçal Bettioui | Table 3 | Casablanca

With a Michelin star to his name, Faycal Bettioui is a culinary leader among executive chefs with Arab roots and an expert in all facets of food conception and execution. He first fell in love with hospitality in the U.S. and quickly worked his way forward in some of New York and Miami‘s best fine dining establishments. In 2011 Faycal opened his first restaurant in Miami Beach, Florida and launched his career as hospitality entrepreneur. In 2015, Faycal moved to Europe, where he started Restaurant Krone in the German Pfalz wine region. There, he was first named Newcomer of the Year, followed by best restaurant awards in subsequent years. 2019 was Faycal‘s breakthrough year, when he earned his first Michelin star and 16 points by Gault Millau and has carried those accolades over the years to come. Ever since then, Faycal has caught the attention of guests from all around the globe, with customers travelling to experience his Mediterranean style menu with a Japanese flair Faycal is currently expanding his hospitality company to Morocco where he opened his new fine dining flagship restaurant La Table 3 in June 2024. La Table 3 is the first and only restaurant in the country lead by a Moroccan-native Michelin star chef. The team serves an a la carte menu as well as a tasting menu grounded in French cuisine, with a touch of Japanese elegance. After less than 1 year, the restaurant received the “One to Watch” award by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, signaling a top status among the best restaurants in the

MENA (Middle East/Northern Africa) region.

Erwan Laurenceau | The Smokery | Cairo

At The Smokery, Executive Chef Erwan Laurenceau has leveraged his culinary expertise, 18 years of which he has spent in Egypt, to develop the restaurant group’s distinct cuisine. Skillfully blending local ingredients with French techniques, and tastefully adapting them to suit the Egyptian palate. Under his direction, The Smokery has continued to push its boundaries to create an elevated culinary experience and transform into an elite player in the fine dining scene both locally and regionally.
